Durand is a solicitor of England and Wales with over 14 years of experience in Immigration law. He is highly experienced in the First-tier and Upper Tribunals and holds Higher Rights of Audience (Civil) allowing him to handle Judicial Review and onward appeals.
Durand began his legal career after completing an MA in International Human Rights Law in 2002. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales and practised as a barrister before qualifying as a solicitor, giving him a rare dual perspective. His success rate has always been very consistent, winning even some of the most challenging cases with excellent results for our clients.
Before joining our firm, Durand worked as a Senior Immigration Caseworker and served as in-house counsel at a large legally aided firm. This prior experience has refined his advocacy practice, allowing him to dedicate meticulous attention to the cases he is instructed in.
Durand is fluent in English and Japanese and is a member of the British Japanese Lawyers Association.
